We are a lucky, casual, family-oriented group. We are a group of couples, all with good kids getting ready for, or in, or just out of college. We do not take ourselves too seriously. A good sense of humor is a prerequisite or joining this class.
KOINONIA

Class Size: 9 – 18
One of the most active and participating classes. We have been labeled as the doer class. We like to fellowship (eat). We do a monthly activity.
BIBLE & LOVE
Class Age Range: Young Adults – Seniors
Room Location: 7 across from Gym
Class Size: 50 +
Bible & Love is a diverse class ranging from Young Adults to Senior Citizens. We are active in church-sponsored or our own class activities. We are a Bible study-based class. |
DISCOVERY
Class Age Range: 34 – 65
Room Location: Conference Room (2nd floor of SS Building, Upstairs, 1st door on left)
Class Size: 12 – 20
The Discovery class is topical in its nature of study. We are more into discussion than lecture. Sometimes we will revert back to the quarterly until something more interesting is brought to our attention. We also support the U. M. Children’s home and anyone who is in need of our help. Sometimes visitors are uncomfortable with discussion, but all we ask anyone is to give us three weeks and you will be hooked. You will be loved.
DOING LIFE TOGETHER

Unique group of folks who are “doing life together” – in a small group experience we’re studying and learning the everliving truth of God. We’d love to have you join us—we meet at 10:45 am after the 9:30 service!

Our class started October 2006 for people who didn’t have a Sunday School class. We are a small class with room to grow. We have done various types of Bible Studies. We contribute to and take part in church activities as well as participating in social events. Come join us!

NEW COVENANT
Class Age Range: All Age Adults

Truly a new millennium class, the NEW COVENANT CLASS met for the first time on January 2, 2000. During its brief existence, the class has become known for its service, leadership, and fellowship.
A twice-monthly Recycling Project, proposed during the second class meeting, has continued with great success as a Stewardship effort. Funds received for recycled items are used to fund various Mission and Outreach Projects throughout the year. New Covenanters serve in the various Outreach Ministries of the church, such as Wednesday night WOW programming, Vacation Bible School, Heartland Festival, Bread Ministry, Shut-In visitation, and many others.
The class has participated in Memorial’s Annual Talent Nite each year since the class inception. Other fellowship activities include Class Parties and Get-Togethers. The class has also traveled to regional events such as the Louisville Easter Pageant and Horse Cave Theater.
This group of active adults includes both singles and couples of all ages, a diversity that is appreciated by the class members and provides a wide range of insight and life experience in class discussions.
The lessons are discussion-based and led by class volunteers. The curriculum is selected by the class upon the recommendation of a Curriculum Committee. Subjects have included Prayer, Familiar and Difficult Sayings in the Bible, the Parables of Jesus, 40 Days of Purpose, Advent and Lenten studies, Spiritual Gifts Assessment, and general Bible Study. Texts by well-known authors such as Max Lucado, John Ortbert, and James W. Moore are often used.

SEEKERS

Seekers class is a potpourri of personalities and ages. We enjoy discussions. Our classes are led by class members who rotate Sundays. We use the adult bible studies and for a change of pace intersperse with special study books. Seekers is a caring class that nurtures its members, reaches out to the needs in the community and responds quickly to the needs of the church family. We are fun-loving, hospitable, compassionate and a group who loves the Lord and each other. We invite you to join us!
